Before You Write, Three Questions
Most first enquiries ask the same three questions. The answers are below so that a buyer can size the works before a single message is sent.
Send the drawing or the specification, the quantity, the material grade, the thread form or groove standard, the coating requirement and the destination port. If a test certificate or a document pack is required, say so at the start, because certification is a station on the floor and it is planned with the rest of the run.
Lead time is quoted from the current shop load, not from a fixed table. Small threading and fitting batches can move quickly, while coated and tested project orders take longer because every joint must pass the hydro bench and the coating bay before packing. The quoted date is the date the floor intends to hold, and any change is reported to the buyer as soon as it is known.
Yes. We work to the standards named on the drawing for thread form, flange and fitting dimensions and test pressure. Where a standard is not named, we confirm the intended gauge and thread form in writing before the first cut, because a thread cut to the wrong standard cannot be reworked into the right one.
